Arthur Robert Davis' Obituary
COMMANDER ARTHUR ROBERT DAVIS USN RET., 71, a resident of Vienna, VA before moving to Leesburg, VA in 1995, died on Thursday December 21, 2006 in Leesburg.
Commander Davis was born November 5, 1935 in Montclair, NJ to the late James J. and Margaret Radford Davis. His beloved wife Barbara L. Davis in 1994 and two brothers Edwin and Raymond Davis predeceased him.
Commander Davis is survived by his seven children: Allison Davis of Alexandria, VA, Susan Davis Stephens of Ashburn, VA, Gregory Davis (Carol) of Frederick, MD, Michael Davis (Claiborne) of Crozet, VA, Eileen Davis Boeing (David) of Purcellville, VA, Kathleen Davis of Leesburg, VA, James Davis (Stacey) of Sterling, VA; one brother: James Davis of Edison, NJ; five grandchildren: Sarah Boeing of Purcellville, Richard Davis of Frederick, Bryan Boeing of Purcellville, Philip Davis of Frederick, Elizabeth Davis of Crozet; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Cr. SE Leesburg, VA on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 from 7 –9pm and Wednesday, January 3 from 12:30- 2:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Saint John the Apostle Catholic Church in Leesburg. Graveside services with military honors will follow on Thursday in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA at 10:00am. Those wishing to attend must meet at the funeral home by 8:30am or the Administration Building at Arlington National by 9:30am.
