I just heard of the passing of Dr. Mehrotra. My condolences to all the family members that survive him. I was a graduate student at the University of Maryland in College Park in 2001 when he taught our Networks and Systems class. He was meant to be teacher; it was apparent from his passion as he paced up and down in the front of the auditorium, with his booming voice and his humorous personality. He taught me over two decades years ago, and I have not seen him since leaving campus, but I remember him fondly. That says a lot about the impression he made.
