I was so blessed to grow up on the same block with Chris. Much of who I am today was formed by those wonderful memories of spending time at Chris's house, with Don and Barbara. I always think of her beloved scotties, her beautiful smile, and all of the lovely moments with her. She blessed us all with her beautiful life. Thank you, Barbara. I love you. I had the pleasure of working with Barb at WHC in cardiac services. She was a great mentor to me in my early days here. I appreciate the nursing knowledge and skill she shared to help mold me into the nurse I have become today. She offered that to everyone. We were saddened to learn of Barbara's passing. As Chris' uncle, we enjoyed visiting with Chris and family in Florida recently.

Barb and I bonded when both of us started working as NPs at the Washington Hopital Center in 1995. We were inseparable for years until I found a job in VA. She was the most caring person I have ever known. She held my hand and consoled me when I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006.
