Basil William Mullins' Obituary
BASIL WILLIAM MULLINS, 82, of Lucketts, Virginia died at home on Tuesday, September 6th 2011. Mr. Mullins was born January 8th 1929 in Clendenin, West Virginia to the late Bud and Martha Salisbury Mullins. A son Richard Allen Mullins and a sister, Patricia Vistin also predeceased him. He was a pipeline union welder with Pace Pipeline Company out of Pennsylvania. Mr. Mullins worked in numerous places with the union including Maryland, Pennsylvania and Alaska before retiring in 1992. Since moving from Chantilly, Virginia to Lucketts in 1983 he and his wife have enjoyed farming and raising Black Angus Cattle.
Mr. Mullins is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Frances Jean Hanson Mullins of Lucketts; three children: Holly Gallagher (Bill) of Leesburg, Virginia, Lisa Deeben (Mike) of Purcellville, Viriginia, Basil Mullins Jr. (Deborah) of Hedgesville, West Virginia; three siblings: David J. Mullins of Alexandria, VA, Margaret Mahaney of Charleston, WV, Bethel J. Gainer of Charleston, WV; seven grandchildren: Julie, Amanda, Adam, Christa, Daniel, Kari, Jason and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Thursday, September 8th 2011 from 6-8pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE in Leesburg. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Friday at 12:30pm with Pastor Philip Brumback officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Leesburg.
