We knew each other 47 years. No matter what trials came her way, Bernice had a joyful life. She believed that ultimately God is in control and that everything would turn out alright. That, my dear Bernice, brings joy to me too.
Dear Aunt Bernice,
Life certainly has been a Journey (together), for us. 1949, you were 16; I just born. We lived together in the big yellow brick house, at the end of Beaver Meadows. So, I just have to say, you’ve been there my whole life. We moved out of Baba and Pap’s when my Dad finished building their home. But my earliest memories always go back to “Baba’s” ( mine). You were/ are my godmother; good choice. Coming to get my start in life was a natural thing, coming south to live with you, Uncle Vic, the boys, and Grampy. You hosted our wedding, the arrival of our children. On and on, I could go. You came to work for/with us for years. You are remembered fondly, by so very many! Fast (too, fast) to the end of your days. Jeanne and I were both honored and privileged to share your final days, helping you out, making that new residence, your new home. Our Christmas their together, the last several “road trips”. We were so incredibly blest to be with you. You loved us; it was easy to love you back. You welcomed us, our children, our grandchildren in to your life and most importantly, your heart. You, dear Aunt Bernice… remain deep within our hearts. Blest were we again to be with you in your final days, and those final unsuspecting hours. My all the holy Ones, go out to meet and welcome you, in you Eternal Rest; just as you welcomed us, and so very many others.
Rest in Peace. You are loved; you are deeply missed. ❤️🕊️🙏🏼Philip
