Bette Irene Gallagher's Obituary
BETTE IRENE GALLAGHER, 85, of Ashburn, VA since 1993, formerly of York, PA died on Saturday, May 23, 2009 in Ashburn. Mrs. Gallagher was born July 5, 1923 in Altoona, PA to the late Walter C. and Henrietta Hamilton Yeager. Her husband Wilson Gallagher also predeceased her. Mrs. Gallagher was a cafeteria supervisor with the West York Area School District before retiring in 1982. She loved animals and was an avid painter.
Mrs. Gallagher is survived by a son Dr. Walter C. and Lucinda Quint of Mantua, NJ; one daughter: Mrs. Louise A. and Roddy Dean of Sterling, VA; ; two stepdaughters: Marcia Martin of Ashburn, VA, Diane Gallagher and husband George Gould of Philadelphia, PA; one brother: Richard Yeager of Uvalde, TX; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE Leesburg, VA on Wednesday May 27th from 7-8pm and on Thursday May 28th from 12-1pm at the Alto-Reste Park Cemetery Chapel, 710 Plank Rd., Altoona, PA. Graveside services will follow at 1:00pm.
