Betty W. Fiske's Obituary
Betty W. Fiske, 78 of Leesburg, Virginia passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 2, 1937 in Leesburg, Virginia.
Betty was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a lifelong homemaker, nurse, caregiver, and nanny to many local children.
She was a member of the Leesburg Baptist / Community Church for over 40 years.
Betty was a member of the first graduating class of Loudoun County High School in 1955 and graduated from the University of Virginia in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She was married to Richard Fiske, her lifelong partner, on December 20, 1958 at Little River Baptist Church in Aldie, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred W. and Lottie P. Williams and brother Ted B. Williams.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Richard H. Fiske of Leesburg, Virginia and four children: David A. Fiske of Steeles Tavern, Virginia; Ellen Stewart (Bob) of Roswell, Georgia; William A. “Bill” Fiske of Staunton, Virginia; and Nancy Freeman (Dan) of Marietta, Georgia. She is also survived by four siblings: Alfred W. “Bill” Williams (Barbara) of Culpeper, Virginia; Frank C. Williams of Leesburg, Virginia; Donald B. Williams (Bobbi) of Leesburg, Virginia; and James S. “Steve” Williams (Carol) of Winchester, Virginia. She had six wonderful grandchildren: Nicole Varn (Nathan), Alexandra Stewart, Zachary Daly, William Fiske, Morgan Stewart, Kara Freeman, and two step-grandchildren, Amanda Dellerba (Chris) and Mark Freeman. She also had two precious great-grandchildren Daven and Grady Varn.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 12:00 pm at the Leesburg Community Church, 835 Lee Ave SW, Leesburg, Virginia followed by lunch and fellowship.
Interment will be private.
