Beverly Kay Dobies' Obituary
BEVERLY KAY DOBIES, 85 of Leesburg, Virginia passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born Monday, September 16, 1940, in Gary, Indiana to the late Lee Nelson and Lorraine Edna Hooper.
To know Beverly, was to love her. She brought joy to everyone she encountered. Whether she was spending time with family or simply offering a warm smile. She would do anything for you. She made life richer for those around her. Beverly was a dedicated member of Trinty Presbyterian Church in Herndon, VA for 56 years and found great joy leading women’s ministry and singing in the choir.
Beverly is survived by her loving family including her sons, Greg (Stephanie) Dobies of Leesburg, VA, Jeff (Ann) Dobies of Stephenson, VA and daughter, Kim Dobies of Reston, VA. Grandchildren, Jessica (Patrick), Jeffrey (Maggie), Samantha, Nick, Kyle, Erica, Abbey, Nicole, Sarah and Tyler and great-grandchild, Sol. She is survived by her sister Barbara Durkin and preceded in death by her brothers Richard and David Hooper. Along with many other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 4:00PM – 6:00 PM at Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Circle SE, Leesburg, Virginia 20175.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Beverly’s honor.
