Beverly Hayes Romano's Obituary
Beverly Hayes Romano passed away on Friday, August 2nd, 2024, in Ashburn, Virginia. Beverly was born on September 14th, 1928, in Manhattan, New York, to Raymond and Julia Hayes. She was predeceased by her husband Carmine Romano, her son Raymond Romano, her brother Raymond Vincent Hayes, and sister-in-law Marjorie Hayes. Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Romano Zimney, her brother Dr. Raymond Stephen Hayes, her niece Dr. Lisa Hayes, her nephew Raymond Hayes, her daughter in law Lyn Romano, her grandchildren Raymond and Randy Romano, Kira and Kristin Zimney, Kathy Kennedy, and great-grandchildren Sawyer, Cameron, and Caila Rae. Beverly also is survived by her husband’s family, the Andreas family of Virginia, where she spent many happy holiday celebrations.
Beverly graduated from Cathedral High School in Manhattan in 1946 and attended Mt. Saint Vincent, Riverdale, New York, where she studied French. Beverly retired from New York Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health in White Plains, New York after serving as an administrative assistant for many years.
After growing up in Manhattan, Beverly lived in Valhalla, New York where she raised her two children with her loving husband. She moved to Virginia in 2009 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. Beverly had a personality that was adored by all. She maintained childhood friendships that lasted over ninety years. She loved her Virginia friends, crossword puzzles, Old Fashioneds, and Frank Sinatra music.
Beverly is now reunited with the love of her life, Carmine; their love story began while working at Grand Central Station shortly after attending college. Beverly’s lively soul will remain with all of those who knew and loved her.”
