Brenden Christopher Winsted Mellott
October 11, 2001-January 31, 2021
In the early morning hours of January 31, 2021, Brenden Mellott passed away unexpectedly at home at the young age of 19. He suffered from epilepsy.
Born on October 11, 2001, in Clinton, MD, he was the son of Athol W. Mellott, IV (Chris) of Brunswick, MD, and Laurie Sapp of Fort Worth, TX.
Brenden was one of the sweetest and most caring people you could ever meet. He loved and cared about everyone, even though he had a hard time showing it. Those who knew him, knew that he would do anything he could for anyone that asked.
Brenden loved attending sporting events, with his Dad. They shared a love for the Dallas Cowboys, the Washington Capitals, and the WWE. His favorite basketball team was the Golden State Warriors. His favorite player was Steph Curry. Brenden also loved music. His favorite rappers were Juice WRI-D and XXX Tentacion.
He also loved his two beagles, Daisy and Peabody.
Brenden was pre deceased by both his maternal and paternal great grandparents; as well as a brother Braden Boswell.
He leaves his family to cherish his memory including his, Mom & Dad; his sister Lindsay Mellott, brother, Bryson Smith, stepfather, Jonathan Sapp of Fort Worth, TX; maternal grandparents, Larry and Deborah Boswell of Azle, TX; Athol and Violeta Mellott of Leesburg, VA; Michael and Martha Nalley of Blufton, SC, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends who loved him dearly.
The family will receive guests from 10 to 12 noon, on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA 20175.
A private family funeral ceremony will follow at 12:15pm, at the funeral home.
Interment will be also be held privately at Furnace Mountain Cemetery, 12496 James Monroe Highway, Leesburg, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Brenden’s memory to Furnace Mountain Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
