Bruce C. Rice's Obituary
Bruce C. Rice passed away on March 2, 2016, in Leesburg, Virginia.
After graduating from Illinois College, he served in the United States Army. Upon discharge, he was employed by Shell Oil Company while attending graduate school where he earned his MBA.
Later he worked for the United States government until retiring.
A life-long Episcopalian, he served two terms on the vestry of Emmanuel Church in Middleburg, Virginia, where he resided for many years. He was a Master Gardener who loved fishing, horses, dogs, and cowboys.
He is survived by his wife, daughter, and two grandchildren.
The family wishes to express gratitude to the nurses and aides at INOVA Loudoun Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Leesburg for their compassionate care, and Blue Ridge Hospice and to Catherine Fetterman, Mneme therapist, for the kindness and joy she brought to Bruce through painting.
Services will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 10:00am at Arlington National Cemetery.
