Carole Louise Prosser's Obituary
CAROLE LOUISE PROSSER, 81 of Ashburn, Virginia passed on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, in Arlington, Virginia.
Born in Hawaii, Thursday, July 30, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Robert McIntire and the late Helen McIntire.
She was the beloved wife of David Palmer Prosser. The two were married in the castle of Heidelberg Germany by Chaplain Fritz and later in life would have 3 children together.
Carole wanted to travel the world and decided to work for the Department of Defense. She taught fourth grade elementary school for the children of our United States Army. Carole initially worked in Maryland. She then transferred to Goose Bay Labrador, Canada and finally Mannheim, Germany. Carole met Dave in the officer’s club in Mannheim in 1967. They experienced an immediate spark and Dave invited Carole to the upcoming 11th Engineers Group gathering. Carole said yes, and that was the beginning of their 57-year relationship. Together they traveled the United States and the world.
Carole had many jobs over the years, but her greatest joy were her children and her family. She also was greatly committed to the Kairos prison ministry and helped start Kairos in Goochland and Fluvanna Correctional Center’s for Women. She served on 38 teams, many times as the music leader, sharing her love of music and God with the residents with her guitar.
Carole leaves many to cherish her memory including her husband, David Palmer, daughter, Janette Marie Prosser, sons, Eric David Prosser (Jennifer), and Brian Scott Prosser (Dorothy), grandchildren, Audrey, Adam, Samantha, and Megan; sisters Lynne Martin (Dale) and Marla Kohne (Glenn), brother David McIntire (Betsy).
