Carolyn Hughes' Obituary
CAROLYN SUZANNE JEANNETTE (BENTZ) HUGHES, 75, a resident of Vienna, VA from 1972 until moving to Aldie, VA in 2002, died on Wed. April 18, 2007 in Aldie. Mrs. Hughes was born February 27, 1932 in Allentown, PA to the late Frank B. and Carolyn Suzanne J. Bentz. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Allentown, PA and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1952 with a nursing degree. Mrs. Hughes attended Saint David’s Episcopal Church, Ashburn, VA. Her beloved husband Peter Finley Hugh Hughes predeceased her in 1980 a son Scott Hughes, and six siblings, Dorothy, Thoburn, Willard, Glenn, Edward, Orvil. Mrs. Hughes is survived by her three children: Mark and Sally Hughes of Beulaville, NC, Nathalie Ann and Craig Thompson of Aldie, VA, Catherine McRae Johnson of Falls Church, VA; one brother: Neil Bentz of Allentown, PA; four grandchildren: Peter, Tony, Cherylyn, Scott; and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday April 21st at Saint David’s Episcopal Church, Ashburn, VA with inurnment to follow in the church cemetery.
