Charleen A. Truax's Obituary
Charleen A. Truax, 67, of Lansdowne, Virginia passed away on Monday, April 18, 2011.
Char was born November 17, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in Nashville, Michigan. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, she went on to a successful career in accounting with several firms in the Minneapolis area. Char retired when she moved to Loudoun County in 2007, where she volunteered her services as a leader of the AARP Taxaide Program and as Treasurer of Beth Chaverim Reform Congregation. She also volunteered with the Loudoun Literacy Council and served as an election official at her Belmont Ridge precinct.
She is survived by her husband Allen Sparer of Lansdowne, VA; her daughter, Christine Gough of Chandler, AZ; brothers, Charles Andrus of Gainesville, GA and Jeremiah Andrus of Grass Lake, MI; sister, Ellen Scobey of Hastings, MI; stepdaughters Eleanor Sparer of Takoma Park, MD, and Catherine Sparer-Morales of New Haven, CT; and 4 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 9 at 7:00 PM at Beth Chaverim Reform Congregation, 21740 Beaumeade Circle, Ashburn, VA 20147.
