I am so sorry to learn of chuck's passing. He was a wonderful man and dedicated to his family. May you all rest in the peace that this life is but a fleeting moment compared to the hereafter and that one day, we will all be together again for eternity. Love to you all.
Chuck and I became friends over the years while working together at Fort Myer and Fort McNair, he was an engineer and I was a loggie. Working with Chuck was like working with a Chess Master who would examine every move a dozen times and tell you why they would not work, before showing you the move that would 😊 this drove some nuts, because they just wanted to see the move. However, it taught me why it was the best move, because it address all the “what if’s” that established your credibility.
I once asked Chuck why he went above and beyond and he told me that anyone who was working as hard as I was to represent our organization, he was going to do what was needed to keep me from failing. That attitude is what demonstrates the true “measure” of the man (engineering pun intended) - Thank You Chuck, who loves ya... you know I do... Jeff Westerman
