Charles Edwin Harmon's Obituary
Colonel Charles Edwin Harmon, age 90, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, in Ashburn VA surrounded by his family.
Born October 13, 1935, in Reno, Nevada, he was the son of the late Ronald Harmon and Inez Games Harmon.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Louella Mae Harmon.
A devoted husband, father, and brother, he served in the United States Army for over 26 years, retiring as a Colonel in 1988. He was an avid reader and enjoyed music, good movies and spending time with his family.
Charles is survived by his sister Nancy Martin and three children: Torrey Harmon and wife Susan, Eric Harmon, Brenna Ranalli and husband Dennis, and 3 grandsons: Jacob Harmon, Alexander Harmon and Nicholas Ranalli.
He will be remembered as an exceptional father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
A private graveside service will be held on January 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Leesburg Union Cemetery, Leesburg, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Charles’ honor to American Cancer Society.
