Charles J. Schultz's Obituary
Charles J. ‘Chuck’ Schultz, 66 of Leesburg, Virginia passed on Friday, July 11, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born July 22, 1947, he was the son of the late Charles Julian Schultz and the late Margaret Elizabeth Runyon Schultz. Chuck‘s boyhood home was in McLean, Va. where he grew up with six sisters.
Chuck graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institution (VPI) with a degree in business and had a successful career in marketing and sales in the textile, home furnishings and chemical industries. Chuck had many great attributes but he was most known for his work ethic and dependability throughout his life. Chuck developed a life-long love for boating and fishing, passed on from his father. Chuck loved team sports and was an accomplished lacrosse player. He took every opportunity to support youth sports wherever he lived.
Survivors include sisters, Betty Kelly of Catharpin, VA, Mary Lorenzen of Williamsburg, VA, Carol Ann Schultz of Fairfax, VA, Joan Marie Schultz of Leesburg, , VA, Peggy Wilkinson of Oxford, NC and Christine McGowan of Culpeper, VA. He is further survived by three nieces and four nephews. He also leaves behind two step children, Courtney Smith (North Carolina) and Kyle Sellers and their mother, Lynda Sellers of Florida.
A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
