I have very fond memories of Charles as a part of the Oswego Street "gang" when we were kids growing up in Tulsa. I had not seen him in almost fifty years, but Charles, Max and the whole Sutter family will forever be a big part of my wonderful childhood on Oswego Street.

I have no adequate words to express my sorrow. I have a lot of fun and fond memories of the times we all had at Grandma Sutters's and the times I spent, in the summers, in Tulsa. It is very hard to loose your spouse/friend and dad! Charles was indeed a very special person and cousin. Even though, as adults, we didn't see each other often... he will truly be missed. You are in my thoughts and prayers..... and may God touch your hearts with the peace that passes all understanding.

Charles' folks lived across the street from me for many years so I feel as though I know him through his parents' eyes. Charles was presented as a man who did not make excuses or give up trying. I lifted him up to others as an example of success because of his fortitude and perseverance even though the way was difficult. I know how much Charles will be missed. He was a great man, a great father and husband, and someone who was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. We have the fondest memories of our times together in New Zealand. Jim held a great admiration for Charles and spoke so highly of his integrity and work ethic. But he most admired Charles for being a really good person.
We will never forget him and we are so happy to have known him and your family. Love and prayers.
