Chase S. Wenner's Obituary
Chase Steven Wenner of Lovettsville, Virginia passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023.
Born in Lansdowne, Virginia on January 30, 2009, to Larry Wenner, Jr and Lisa (Baumgarte) Wenner of Lovettsville, Virginia. Chase was an old soul who loved listening to vinyl records and his dad’s collection of CDs and cassette tapes. A lover of all types of music, especially 90’s grunge, rock and heavy metal, he was a talented musician playing the drums and guitar, and a gifted vocalist.
Chase had a great sense of humor and would do anything for a laugh … especially when his beloved big brother or cousins were involved. A lover of the great outdoors, he never hesitated to help his dad with garden chores, building fence, cutting wood and fixing whatever needed it. He also enjoyed working with his hands, building things and taking them apart. Chase really, really loved his mom. It was always important to him that she be taken care of.
When Chase loved you, you knew it. There is no better gift than that.
In addition to his parents, Chase is survived by his brother PFC Trip Wenner of El Paso, Texas, maternal grandfather Dennis Baumgarte of Batavia, New York, great aunt and uncle Shirley and Reggie Sanbower of Lovettsville, Virginia, uncle Scott Baumgarte of Batavia, New York, aunt and uncle Karen and Josh Cooper, and cousins Ben, Ryan and Tyler Cooper, all of Lovettsville, Virginia … and a whole host of friends, young and old, who loved him. He was predeceased by paternal grandparents Lawrence and Kathy Wenner of Lovettsville, Virginia, maternal grandmother Beverly Baumgarte and maternal uncles Brian and Kevin Baumgarte, all of Batavia, New York.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 2nd at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle SE, Leesburg, Virginia beginning with visitation at 10:30 am, followed by the funeral service at 12 noon. Burial service will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Lovettsville, Virginia with a reception for family and friends immediately after at the Lovettsville Game Protective Association, 16 S Berlin Pike, Lovettsville, Virginia.
Chase’s family would love to see trees planted in his honor so that others can watch them flourish and grow in his memory. This can be done at your own home or neighborhood, or through ArborDay.org.
