I never had the pleasure of meeting this amazing woman in person...but her story and life has made such an impact in my life. I noticed her middle name was Joy...and that really sums up the life she lived and the legacy she left...the joy of Lord was and is her strength. (Jesus gives us the oil of joy for mourning...I pray that for all the friends and family impacted by this great loss.)
Mrs. Rowan was my 5th grade teacher three years ago, I immediately liked her cause her last name was the same as my cousins first name. Silly I know but I knew at that moment that I was going to love 5th grade. She was one of the kindest, nicest, sweetest teachers I have ever had. When I heard the news of her passing I was heart broken for her family and close friends. I will always remember her as the sweet, kind, patient women that she was.
Chrissy was our 1st baby sitter. Our 3 boys fell in love with her (not because she was gorgeous), but because she got down on the floor and played their games with them. She will be missed and her courage remembered when we face challenges.
An extremely kind and good willed person, I remember she would rap for us in order to make the teachings fun. She truly made the 5th grade an experience worth remembering. She passed at an age too young, but she lived her life to the fullest. She will be greatly missed. RIP Mrs.Rowan
