My deepest condolences to Chris's family. I had the honor to work with Chris. He was such a funny, kind, and intelligent person that I enjoyed being around. My heart is saddened. God's Blessings to the family.
I am so sorry for your loss. Sometime last week, out of the blue, Chris popped into my head. I don't know why, but it was a memory of a time when we were kids, you all were up for a visit at Judy and Garys house. Anyway, at some point, Chris and I were in the basement playing on the piano. We were singing and carrying on--loudly, having a fantastic time. I don't know that it would have been considered musical --in anyone's estimation other than ours--because, i think part of our goal was to hit as many keys simultaneously as we could. It was probably a noisy mess, but we were absolutely awesome. We were completely absorbed in the moment, being kids and having fun. This is how i will remember Chris. My heart goes out to you all.

We are so sorry that we could not be with you. Our hearts are reaching out in hopes that some there is some comfort. It is unimaginable that one of our children would leave before us. Chris was an amazing man & that was a beautiful funeral befitting his legacy. Chris welcomed me twice to speak to the Intelligence Communities about LGBT legal issues. Folks have spoken of his magnetic smile. So true. In part because one isn't allowed to have cellphones in those high security areas, we had wonderful face-to-face time, in abundance. No distractions. We became friends and stayed in touch, sharing hope for the future of our communities, our nation. Chris was the consummate leader and patriot. My deepest condolences to Greg, the Courtemanche family, and all who grieve Chris' loss. My love and support goes out to Chris’ family. You had an amazing son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Chris was always smiling every time I saw him and always interested in having fun and being happy. His energy was contagious and spending time with him always lifted your spirits.
We shared a love for Hocus Pocus, Madonna, and the Golden Girls. However, I can never match his love and obsession for the Golden Girls! The theme song will forever remind me of him and make me smile in his memory.

Our condolences to the entire Courtemanche family. Chris was a great guy and I loved hearing his stories about his family and vacations, and could see that he was so tight with his brothers, their families and of course his parents. I know that this is a terrible blow to you all and I wish you all peace as you come to terms with this loss. The world will not be the same without Chris's smile and kindness.
