Christopher Mauricio Montes' Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of CHRISTOPHER MAURICIO MONTES, (20), on Thursday, July 24, 2025, in Round Hill, Virginia. He was born on Sunday, December 26, 2004, in Reston, Virginia. Christopher was the son of Mauricio Montes Alfaro, of Santa Tecla, El Salvador, and Dorothy (Deutschmann) Dowd and stepfather Michael Dowd of Round Hill, Virginia.
Christopher had a gentle nature, was family-oriented, and a humanitarian at heart, taking pride in his role of advocacy. He attended Clearview Elementary School and Dranesville Elementary in Herndon, Virginia, before moving to Ashburn, Virginia, where he attended Rosa Lee Carter Elementary School and Stone Hill Middle School. In his ninth-grade year, he moved with his family to Round Hill, Virginia, where he attended Woodgrove High School and graduated in June of 2023. Christopher continued his studies, pursuing a degree in Information Technology at Northern Virginia Community College.
He worked in several customer service positions throughout his teenage years. His most recent employment included a Salesperson/Store Driver position at Advance Auto Parts in Purcellville, Virginia, an IT Technician at Rockwell Automation in Sterling, Virginia, and finally as a Barista at Starbucks in Leesburg, Virginia. Christopher was actively pursuing employment as an Emergency Medical Technician with Loudoun County Fire and Rescue at the time of his passing.
He is survived by his parents, Mauricio Montes Alfaro and Dorothy, and Michael Dowd and siblings: Michael "Mikey" Dowd, Olivia Dowd, Ashton Chandler-Dowd, Breylin Chandler-Dowd, Julien Dowd, and Everlyn Dowd of Round Hill, Virginia.
He is also survived by many other family members, including:

A Funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located. Interment will follow in Ketoctin Cemetery, Purcellville, VA.
