Cindy Lou Unkefer's Obituary
Cindy Lou (Bunch) Unkefer, age 67, of Sterling, VA, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020, at INOVA Loudoun Hospital Center in Leesburg, VA.
Born June 7, 1952, in Suffolk, VA, she was the daughter of Betty Mann Bunch and the late Lewis Melvin Bunch. She was preceded in death by her grandparents G.C. and Maggie Mann of Cypress Chapel, VA, and Clarence and Ophelia Bunch of Nansemond County, VA.
Cindy is survived by Edward Unkefer, her husband of 44 years, and daughter Margaret. She is also survived by her mother; younger siblings, Lyne (Edward), Butch (Linda), and Lindsay; nephews Philip White and Gabriel Sanderson; uncle Philip Mann and family; and countless cousins around the country.
For over twenty-five years, Cindy was employed by INOVA Loudoun Hospital where her work in blood banking saved countless lives. She was an enthusiastic world traveler and lifelong philanthropist for global child health.
Celebration of Life services will be held in Suffolk at Cypress Chapel Church on July 12 and in Sterling at a date to be announced. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery.
