Claire Theresa Kohl's Obituary
Claire Theresa Kohl (Langheld), 77, of Port St. Lucie, FL, entered into eternal rest on November 30, 2020. She was born in Newark, NJ, to Herbert W. and Agnes T. Langheld. She graduated from Sacred Heart Grammar School, St. Vincent Academy, and Berkeley Secretarial School and also attended Seton Hall University. A 16 year resident of Cedar Knolls, NJ, and prior resident of South Orange, Woodbridge, Westfield, and Irvington, she moved to Port St. Lucie in 2002. She worked as a legal secretary in her early years, as a Senior Product Manager at Lucent Technologies, and retired from Avaya as a Services Offer Manager. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie, FL, and was active in the Council of Catholic Women.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, B. John Kohl, Jr. and her brother, William J. Langheld.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Langheld Brooks, her sons, David and Paul, her daughter, Lynda Kohl Hymans, her daughters-in-law, Debbie and Marcie, her son-in-law, Geoffrey Hymans, seven grandchildren, Riley, Gavin, Aidan, and Declan Kohl and Caleb, Sarah, and Aubrey Hymans, her cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
She was an avid participant in her church and prayer group, loved crocheting and enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on December 10, 2020 at 1:30 pm at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Leesburg, VA. She will be buried at a later date in Florida at Rolling Oaks Cemetery, Port St. Lucie.
