Clark Patrick Campbell's Obituary
Clark Patrick Campbell, 56, of Ashburn, VA; Great Falls, VA; and Highland Park, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, after a long battle with heart and liver issues.
Born on November 7, 1968, in Santa Monica, CA, Clark was the son of the late Gary Campbell and Peggy Mauzy. He was a proud graduate of the University of Maryland and member of the Delta Chi fraternity. Shortly after graduating, Clark started his career at a little software company called Oracle. He spent nearly 11 years dedicated to the federal government and Department of Defense clients, helping them achieve their mission by assisting them in designing, acquiring, and deploying cutting-edge software technology to meet the mission. During his 30-year career, Clark made a lasting impression on everyone who worked with and for him. He was a trusted advisor and mentor dedicated to helping others in their careers. Clark was a good listener and always made it his priority to help others.
Clark was a devoted father to his 9-year-old son, Cole Campbell, who was the center of his world. He loved spending time with Cole, playing games, and enjoying outings at Top Golf. Clark is also survived by his sister, Stephanie Clark (and husband Craig) of Mount Pleasant, SC; his brother, Chad Campbell (and wife Renae) of North Potomac, MD; and his nieces and nephews: Dylan Clark, Jack Campbell, Logan Clark, and Finn Campbell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Zar.
A passionate sports fan, Clark avidly supported the Maryland Terrapins and Washington Commanders. He loved watching golf and other sports with Cole and his friends. Clark also enjoyed driving his cars, engaging in competitive games, and supporting his friends.
A public memorial service will be held on Friday, March 14, in conjunction with the memorial for his mother, Peggy Mauzy, who passed away on December 14, 2024. The service will be held at Loudoun Funeral Chapel at 158 Catoctin Circle, S.E. Leesburg, VA, at 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, to help support Cole’s future, a Go Fund Me page is being created in Clark’s honor, https://gofund.me/e4e44af1
