Clayton Matthew Trammel's Obituary
Clayton Matthew Trammel, Sr., 63, of Purcellville, died Thursday, January 5, 2006, at his home in Purcellville. Born on January 29, 1942 in Leesburg, VA, a son of the late Martha Elizabeth Trammel. Mr. Trammel was a life long resident of Loudoun County. He will be remembered as a man who loved life. He was an avid fisher, cook and baker. Mr. Fewell worked for the Purcellville Golf Course for many years. He also operated his own landscaping company for a number of years. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
He is also survived by his wife Rachel Virginia Trammel of Purcellville, Four Daughters, Aveleen T. Kelly of Columbia, MD; Alberta L. Nelson of Springfield, VA, Alvenia E. Walker of Troy, Laquinta Smith of WV, Two-step daughters, Jeanette Harris of Leesburg, Carolyn E. Frye of Leesburg;
One Son, Clayton M. Trammel, Jr. of Iowa, Five Stepsons- James E. Frye of Leesburg, Vincent E. Frye of Leesburg, Richard L. Frye of Falls Church, Donald Frye of Leesburg, and Carl Frye of Leesburg; One Step brother-Doug Lewis of Airmont; his Aunt, Florence Trammel and Forty Two grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Loudoun Funeral Chapels, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE 20175, Leesburg, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, January 12, 2006. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, in Lincoln, VA at 11:00 AM Friday, January 13, 2006, Rev. Billy Williams officiating.
Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Lincoln.
