In our old age, we were supposed to take a day trip to Washington, D.C. monument grounds, wear our sun hats and be spectators sitting on a bench . . . chatting away . . . just like the photo I’d shown you I’d taken of two elderly ladies wearing hats, sitting on a bench carrying on in conversation.
