Daisy Lucille Gallahan's Obituary
DAISY "LUCILLE" GALLAHAN, 91, a life long resident of Loudoun County went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 15, 2011. Mrs. Gallahan was born March 31, 1920 in Loudoun Heights to the late George Samuel and Daisy Follin Cogle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt Franklin Gallahan Sr., three children: Dewitt F. Gallahan, Jr., Frederick O. Gallahan, Deborah L. Gallahan; a son-in-law: William G. Kerns; five siblings: Melvin Cogle, Bertha Breeden, Ira Cogle, Harvey Cogle and Robert Cogle. She was a long time member of the Loudoun Valley Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Gallahan was an avid cook and loved spending time with her family. She also loved reading her Bible.
Mrs. Gallahan is survived by her beloved children: Phyllis Gallahan Kerns of White Plains, MD; Donald E. Gallahan of Germantown, MD; Lloyd A. Gallahan and wife Lucille of Round Hill, VA; Wesley S. Gallahan of Winchester, VA; Jeffrey D. Gallahan and wife Valarie of Summit Point, WVA; 17 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE in Leesburg, VA from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 19th at 1pm with Rev. Athan Burch officiating. Interment will be in Hillsboro Cemetery, Hillsboro, VA.
