Daniel E. Hardy's Obituary
Mr. Daniel E. Hardy, 93, of Boonsboro, MD, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, MD.
Born on April 2, 1912 in Loudoun County, Virginia. Mr. Hardy was a farmer by trade but he served in many other capacities, including trash removal for Lovettsville for 20 years. For five years he owned and operator for Hardy Feed Store. He was a member of the Brunswick Coop., the Lovettsville Game Protection Association, and an honorary life member of Lovettsville Vol. Fire & Rescue.
He is survived by his three sons; Charles A. Hardy of Broadway, VA, Daniel C. Hardy of Lovettsville & Richard D. Hardy of Martinsburg, WV six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Mr. Hardy was predeceased by his wife Elda Ott Hardy in 1983.
Arrangements are being handled by Browns/ Loudoun Funeral Chapels, 34 East Broad Way, Lovettsville, VA 20180 where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Friday, March 24, 2006 and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 25, 2006, with Rev. Roland England officiating. Interment will follow in Lovettsville Union Cemetery in Lovettsville, Virginia. Donations may be made in Mr. Hardys memory to the Lovettsville Volunteer Fire & Rescue P.O. Box 123 Lovettsville, VA 20180.
