DARRYL TYRONE CRISTWELL's Obituary
Darryl Tyrone Cristwell, passed away in Leesburg, Virginia on Tuesday September 13, 2022. Darryl was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on October 27, 1965. He was the second Child of Doretha Merriex and he is survived by his older brother Henry Cristwell, Jr. Darryl would occasionally spend his formative years and teens lying outside in front of his house watching planes fly overhead. It was in those moments when he first began to dream of one day flying a plane. Shortly after pursuing a career in music Darryl was blessed with an acceptance into a program for air traffic controllers. He seized the opportunity and with his wife, Melanese, and eventually settled down in Alabama where they had five children.
He obtained his pilot license and would spend his weekends flying in small private aircraft’s. The young boy whose gaze was always turned upward towards the sky—dreaming— became a man whose dreams became reality.
Darryl leaves behind five children: Jordan, Andrew, Matthew, Michael, and Victoria. With whom his intellect, imagination, and hope continue to live through.
