Daryl Cummings, age 55, of Leesburg, VA, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at the Adler Center in Aldie, VA. Born Sunday May 13, 1962 she was the daughter of the late Harry Thomas Darnes Jr. and Donna (Ballance) Darnes. Read Obituary
We are so sorry to hear of Mrs. Cummings passing. I had many conversations with Mrs. Cummings when she would call and say "everyone is all right ... just need to talk to you about Andrew". After she would tell me the latest trouble - she would tell me stories about her three sons and some of their antics. We would laugh and compare stories and congratulate ourselves that none of our sons were in jail! She was a light in the education world. She will be missed. I want to share with Ms. Cummings family how she helped my son, Ryan, when he started 9th grade. A few days before school, Ryan had knee surgery on both knees. Ms. Cummings went out of her way to make sure Ryan was prepared to start school so soon after surgery. She spent a good bit of time with us to make sure there would be no concerns about starting school and comtinued to follow up to ensure he was doing well. As a result, he had a positive first experience at Woodgrove and has done well. I cannot begin to tell you how thankful and appreciative we are for what she did for our son. She will be missed.

Peace and strength to the family. I knew Daryl from early days at PV and watched her grow and mature into a wonderful woman. She is too soon gone but finally at rest. God's peace.

Wow, Did we had a love for that classic Reuben sandwich,rye bread, corned beef, sauerkraut, melted Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing. Made those workdays special. I know you will be in my thoughts every time I order one. Rest in peace my friend. We had some special times at Park View.
