David Johnson's Obituary
DAVID RAY JOHNSON, 60, of Sterling, Virginia since 1982 died on Saturday March 15, 2008 in Leesburg, VA. Mr. Johnson was born May 22, 1947 in Otas, KY to the late Edward Earl and Majorie Hope Gardner Johnson. He was raised in Buttler, NJ where he was a member of the National Honor Society and graduating in the class of 1965 from Buttler High School. Mr. Johnson graduated Magna Cum Laude from Alderson Broaddus Collage, Phillippi, WV in 1969. He retired from the Department of the Army, Alexandria, VA after 30years of service in 2000. Mr. Johnson was Civil War enthusiast and past member of the Stomper and Strutters Square Dancing group in Sterling, VA.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years Mrs. Annabel Johnson of Sterling; a sister: Judy King of Saint Petersburg, FL; a brother: Rev. Jerry L. Johnson of Hatboro, PA; an uncle: Ray T. Gardner of Buttler, N.J and a host of other friends and relatives.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday March 19, 2008 at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Cr. SE Leesburg, VA with Rev. Jerry L. Johnson officiating.
Interment will be private.
