David Hector LeRoy's Obituary
David H. LeRoy Passed Away October 14,2023. Born in Morgantown, W. VA. on September 4,1937, he was the son of Hector and Elizabeth LeRoy. He graduated from Fairmount Senior High School in 1955 and Fairmount State College in 1959. David Married Laura Postlewait on Dec. 29, 1959, in Fairmont, W. VA. David was an inventor, Patent Agent, Patent Examiner and Patent Classifier. He was a member of the American Chemical Society, American Cereal Chemist Society, NARFE Dulles Chapter and Galilee United Methodist Church in Sterling: 1971 Outstanding Young Man of America, Bronze Medals and outstanding Career Awards at USPTO.
Survivors include his wife Laura of Sterling, Virginia, Son David H. LeRoy Jr. of Elmwood Park, N.J.; son Jeffrey A. LeRoy of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.; Son the Late Brian K. LeRoy and the Late Lisa of Hasbrouck Heights, N.J. and step grandchildren Alycia and Julia Prisco; Son Timothy A. LeRoy of Sterling, VA.; Sister Linda Shriver and her Husband the late Jim Shriver of Romney, W. VA. and sister Elizabeth Lewis and Husband Ernie Lewis of Fairmount W. VA.
Visitation and service will be held at Galilee United Methodist Church in Sterling VA. on October 20,2023 for family and friends at 10am. A Private Interment service will be Saturday October 21,2023 at the Lovettsville Union Cemetery.
