David Bernard Martin's Obituary
David Bernard Martin, 61, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2024.
Born on July 29, 1962, in Skokie, IL, David was the beloved son of Marvin Marvil Martin and Dorothy Celeste Martin, and was the brother of Elizabeth Klauba. He earned a degree in Business Administration from Aurora University, where he also played basketball, a sport he was passionate about throughout his life.
David had a distinguished career, serving as the Executive Vice President at the Media Research Center (MRC) since July 2008. Prior to that, he held the position of EVP for the Pennsylvania Builders Association and Managing Director for the National Association of Realtors. David was very proud of his work, and his leadership and dedication in these roles were highly respected and appreciated by his colleagues.
David is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Martin, his daughters Marissa Martin and Trista Serafin, his son-in-law Joe Serafin, and his cherished grandchildren Cameron, Bella, and Paxton. He was a devoted family man, and his legacy of love and commitment will live on through them.
David was extremely strong in mind, body, and spirit. He will always be remembered for his integrity, passion, and devotion. Throughout his 61 years, David truly touched the hearts of many, and will be deeply missed by those he knew and loved.
A memorial service will be held on July 9, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Loudoun Funeral Chapel & Crematory, located at 158 Catoctin Cir SE, Leesburg, VA 20175.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Media Research Center in David's honor.
