David Wayne Morris
David Wayne Morris, 56 of Leesburg, Virginia went home to be with his Lord Savior on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, in Leesburg, Virginia.
He was born on Sunday, December 4, 1960, he was the son of the late Earl Morris and the late Dorothy Jackson Morris. He was the husband of Rebecca Cottrell Morris.
In addition to his beloved wife, David leaves his daughter Dottie Morris of Leesburg, and son C.J. and his wife Daniela Morris of Leesburg, VA, and granddaughter Sophia. He is also survived by his sisters, Susan and brother in law Rob Good of Herndon, VA, and Sandi and brother in law Tim Armstrong of Culpeper, VA; mother in law Carolyn Cottrell, brother in law Noel and Linda Cottrell, sister in law Melodi and Ken Gates; 6 nephews and 2 nieces.
He was a graduate of Messiah College, majoring in Business Administration. For many years, he worked in the lawn and landscaping business, first with Paul’s Best Lawn Service before deciding to open his own company, DWM Landscaping. After more than a decade in the business, Dave stepped away and began a second career working for Dittmar Construction where he remained for over fifteen years.
Dave’s life was marked by his strong faith in God. Over the years, he attended Cherrydale Baptist Church, Christ Community Church and Christian Fellowship Church.
The family will be receiving guests at a Memorial Visitation on Monday, January 16th, 2017 at 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, S.E. - Leesburg, VA
A Memorial Service to Celebrate David’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 17th, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Cherrydale Baptist Church, 3910 Lorcom Lane, Arlington, VA 22207.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in David's memory to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society National Capital Area 5845 Richmond Highway, Ste 800, Alexandria, VA 22303.
