David N. Olson's Obituary
David N. Olson, age 76, of Ashburn, VA, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 in Leesburg, VA.
David was a Commercial Realtor with Long and Foster in the Ashburn office. He was a former member of the Loudoun County School Board and the Loudoun County Planning Commission. Mr. Olson was a candidate for the Virginia State Senate in 1995. He was also the former Chief Financial Officer of Paine Webber in New York. He received an MBA from The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.
He was born on Wednesday, August 6, 1941, the son of the late Carl and Margaret (Wahlberg) Olson.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Murray) Olson, three sons: James Olson of Ashburn, VA, Brent Olson of Castle Rock, CO, and Scott Olson of Costa Mesa, CA, five grandchildren: Finn, Carter, Avery, Stellan and Tess Olson, a brother Daniel Olson, and three sisters: Mary Olson, Sheriann Van Zandt, and Peggy Roseth.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmy Olson.
A viewing will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 3:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral chapel. Services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. David’s Episcopal Church 43600 Russell Branch Pkwy Ashburn, VA 20147.
