He was my next door neighbor for more than 20 years. He was friendly, kind, and generous. He combined a deep religious faith with a terrific sense of humor.
We've known Brother Ream for years and always enjoyed being around him. His positive and loving attitude was infectious whenever we were around him. His wife was Stake Primary President when my wife was our ward Primary President in Alexandria, Virginia many years ago. We go way back with this good man and his family. Our love and condolences.
I cherish the memory of this wonderful, always cheerful, friend and brother in the Gospel. My memories of our shared experiences in the Annandale Virginia Stake and the Washington D.C. Temple lift me and inspire me to follow his Christ-like example.
David would bring his wife Judy into our salon to have her manicures and pedicures with me. We often had wonderful chats over the years. I so enjoyed visiting and hearing all the great stories of family and adventures that they shared.
I will miss David so very much.
My love and prayers to Judy and their family.

Dave was our neighbor here in Ashburn. He was always so kind and a pleasure to talk to as we passed his house on walks. His love of his wife Judy and his family was so very apparent to all. We will miss you. Judy and Terry Vipond
David Ream was my bishop when I was a teenager in Annandale. He was so cool! I remember him talking about why he kept his hair short (to minimize time spent grooming, of course!) and generally being an example to follow. I never counted the many times we were invited to the Ream home, it was always such a haven. I remember the delicate Capodimonte rose(s) near the bay window and the very modern (at the time) stove in the kitchen island we would gather round for goodies after visits.
As the years passed, it was always good to see David and Judy here and there, working in the service of God. God be with those for whom his departure is particularly poignent.
Dana and I have many wonderful memories of David Ream. First serving under his direction while he was in the Presidency of the Washington DC Temple and then afterword serving along side him. He was a wonderful person to work with. He was truly a great man who will be missed by many and Judy is truly a great person also. Some of my best memories are of our conversations which were always informative and enlightening. Dave you will truly be missed. Thank you for all the times you taught me how to be a better son of God.
