Deirdre Lynn Turner's Obituary
Deirdre Lynn Turner peacefully passed away April 29, 2010 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 3, 1964 in Winchester, Virginia to Shirley Ann Turner Coates. She lived in The Plains, Virginia until the age of 9 where she then moved to Leesburg, VA attending Loudoun County Public Schools. She was a waitress by trade and also did telemarketing for many years.
She leaves in her passing her mother, Shirley Coates of Chantilly, VA, her cherished grandmother whom she dearly loved and was raised by Helen Turner of Leesburg, VA; her two devoted and loving daughters Michelle Turner and Ashley Barino of Sterling, VA, two sons-in-laws, Stephan Barino and James Thomas of Sterling and her most prized possessions her precious grandchildren Dominiq, Noelle, Asia and Stephan, Jr.
These children were the joy in her life. She also leaves her three brothers Anthony Coates of Centreville, VA, Rodney Coates and Todd Coates of Chantilly, VA, her dearest sister Freda Coates of Manassas, VA her two aunts Doris Smith (Billy) of Leesburg, VA, Ruby Burns (Barry) and her two aunts that she considered her sisters Debra Turner of Leesburg, VA and Gail Turner of Stone Ridge, VA, A special cousin Karen Smith of Fairfax, VA, her dearest niece Erica Turner of Leesburg, VA, whom she considered her daughter and three very special friends, Lisa Athwal of Leesburg, VA Evelynn Bryant of Quantico, VA, Gina Robinson of Washington, DC, and Carolyn Wright of Leesburg, VA.
She is predeceased by her grandfather William Hardin Turner whom she considered her dad and he was her everything; her dear uncle Raymond Turner and a special cousin William Smith, Jr. deceased and grandson Malik Turner, also a host of nieces, nephews and other special people. Deirdre was a free spirit who loved life to the fullest and enjoyed favorite past times like going to bingo, watching movies, hanging out with Deb and being with her daughters and grandkids. The family wishes to thank each and every one of you for coming and supporting us and sharing in the celebration of Deirdre’s life and not to mourn her death. These were her wishes.
