Delores Marion Burls' Obituary
Delores Marion Burls, born November 17, 1957, in Greensboro, NC, to Delores Burls. She attended Norfolk State University, earning her Bachelor of
Arts in Speech Pathology & Audiology. She married Anthony Sizemore in 1983. With her degree in hand and her passion for children, she worked as Center Director at The Learning Center; Program Director at the Infant-Toddler Center at Annandale Christian Community for Action Child Development Center; Assistant Director at Kinder Care Learning Center; Center Director at Fair Oaks Play & Learn Children’s Center; Program Manager at Laurel Learning Center. She moved on to Kaiser Permanente, dedicating 23 years until her retirement in November 2025. She was an avid cake baker, reader, enjoyed knitting and crochet, and loved her family. Delores is survived by her six siblings, Patricia, Margaret, Faye, Sheila, James, and Dwayne; Uncle David, Aunts Agnes and Junetta; nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, a great-great nephew, numerous cousins, and friends.
A memorial service was held on March 7, 2026, at 11:00AM at United Faith Christian Ministries, located at 150 Susa Drive, Stafford, VA 22554.
