Denice Alfredia Henson's Obituary
Denice Alfredia Henson, affectionally known as “Necie” died on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the Potomac Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sterling, VA. Denice was born on February 19, 1963 to James Edward Long and Neville Letitia Stewart (Cox). She was raised by her mother Neville Stewart and the late James (Jimmy) Milton Stewart.
Denice accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior as a young girl and was baptized at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Aldie, VA under the leadership of Rev. Eugene Terry. She was a member of the James Stewart Faith Gospel Singers, directed by her stepfather James M. Stewart. As an adult, she became of member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Herndon, VA under the leadership of Rev. Randolph S. Witcher
Denice was born in Leesburg, VA, and raised in Aldie, VA. She lived most of her life in Loudoun County and graduated from Loudoun County High School, Leesburg, VA, class of 1981. She worked at the former Bendix, GTSI and went on to become a known hairstylist, which was her passion. She worked for a few years as a hairstylist at 7 West in Leesburg, VA. She loved doing hair and continued until her health started to decline.
She leaves behind two daughters Myisha Henson and Ashley Henson; seven grandchildren: Niah, Niylah, William, Rocco, Serenity, Demari and Dekai; her mother Neville Stewart; three sisters Renae (Stewart) Wines, Vorrine Long, Deborah Long: two brothers Steven Long and Willie Johnson; three aunts: Geraldine Thigpen and Shirley Cox; one uncle: Richard Long; cousin: Charmaine (Thigpen) Montgomery (Will); two very dear friends Odessa Thomas and Debra Codray, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
