Dennis Allen Cropper's Obituary
Dennis Allen Cropper, 75, of Round Hill, VA sadly passed away on July 15, 2022. Denny was born to Allen and Roberta Cropper on May 24, 1947. He attended Columbus Ohio schools through 12th grade, and graduated college with a Political Science Degree at the University of Missouri in 1976.
Denny entered the Army in June 1967 and was proud to become a Green Beret as part of the 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne). He was honorably discharged in June 1973. Denny started his career as a Secret Service Agent in June 1976. He married his wife Constance a few months later in September. Denny eventually became one of the first agents to be a part of the Counter Assault Team (CAT), #020, and was proud to be a part of its early development. Once he retired from the Secret Service, Denny was employed by the Federal Air Marshal Service after 9/11 as a Special Agent in Charge. He retired in 2015.
Denny was a much loved husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Constance, as well at his children Sean Wasem, Tonia (Steve) Nester, Allene (Stephen) York, and Brent (Kara) Cropper; and nine grandchildren Blake and Tanner Wasem, Tessa, Rose and Ava Nester, and Cecilia, Genevieve, James, and Elise York. Denny is also survived by his loving sister Connie Sue (Robert) Carr.
The Cropper Family will receive Friends and Family for Visitation on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cir. SE, Leesburg, VA 20175.
A Celebration of Life will be immediately following the visitation on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00AM at Loudoun Funeral Chapel.
A Committal Service and Military Honors will be performed at Quantico National Cemetery on Monday July 25, 2022 at 12:30 PM.
