Don A. Rowland's Obituary
Don A. Rowland, age 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 8, 2022. He was born on Saturday, May 6, 1939, in Manhasset, New York to the late Mack Stogner and Ann Chrisman.
Don is survived by his family, including his beloved wife, Carolyn Rowland, sister-in-law Mary Beth R. Palo (David), and her children, Grace and Brett Palo.
Don had a double major in Chemistry and Physics from Principia College and an MBA from New York University. He worked for many years as an engineer in the computer industry, developing and improving software and computer hardware. He served for several years in the Army Reserves.
Don was active as a volunteer at the New Canaan Library in Connecticut and worked as a tutor with the local school system as well.
Services will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Don’s memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
