In retirement he focused on his love for clocks and learned how to repair them, leading him hang out his shingle with Don’s Clock Repair. Following Susan’s death Don moved to Virginia to be closer to his family. A few years after he moved to Virginia he met and fell in love with Sharon. They spent 2+ years together enjoying family get togethers, concerts and cruises and just having a lot of fun.
