It was 1986 ... my father came to me beaming with delight that he had met Mr Overheu. They must have talked for hours over the rugs my father brought back from the middle east. Interesting, insightful, a storyteller about the journey of each rug and certainly passionate about his work were the words my father used to describe him. 2021, years later, the time has come for me to learn the tales of journey of these rugs and take an interest as my father passes these rugs to me. Looking back at the appraisals, I found Mr.Overheu's and looked him up. Saddened to know that I can not take the same happiness meeting him as my father did, I am honored to remember the effect he had on my father and our family. God Bless.
