Donald L. Sanbower's Obituary
Mr. Donald L. Sanbower, 58 of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia died on Friday, May 16, 2014, at Hospice of the Panhandle IPF in Kearneysville, West Virginia.
Donald was born Friday, August 26, 1955 in Frederick, Maryland.
He was a son of the late Reginald Vernon Sanbower and the late Katherine Smith Sanbower.
A native of Lovettsville, he worked as a rural mail carrier in Lovettsville, for over 25 years.
A beloved husband, devoted father, and grandfather, who loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, football and coaching baseball for his kids.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife Deborah Jean Sanbower, and by a son, Tim Sanbower.
He leaves his family to cherish his memory including, his sons, Jeff Sanbower and Shayna Fleetwood of Inwood, WV and Justin Sanbower of Harpers Ferry, WV, his daughters, Kristin and Joshua Bodmer of Harpers Ferry, WV, and Erin and Nathan Spinks of Harpers Ferry, WV.
He is also survived by his brother, Reginald Sanbower of Lovettsville, VA, sister, Rebecca Sanbower of Lovettsville, VA; and four grandchildren, Kyleigh Sanbower, Cody Bodmer, Luke Spinks, and Colton Spinks.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, Virginia.
A Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at New Jerusalem Lutheran Church located at 12942 Lutheran Church Road Lovettsville, Virginia 20180 with the Rev. Roland England officiating.
Interment will be in Lovettsville Union Cemetery, Lovettsville, VA.
