Donald Eugene Shomaker's Obituary
Donald Eugene Shomaker, 72, of Paw Paw, WV, formerly of Loudoun Co., died Tuesday, May 29, 2007. He was born on June 29, 1934 in Waterford, VA. A son of the late Charles Wesley Shomaker and the late Esther Eugenia (Newton) Shomaker. Mr. Shomaker was a businessman in Loudoun County for over 29 years, as Owner of Don''s Exxon Station at Ashburn Junction. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Leesburg, the American Legion in Purcellville, and Eagles Club of Purcellville, VA.
He is survived by his two brothers, William & Joseph Shomaker both of Lovettsville, VA; his five children: Vicki E. Fowler of Morgantown, WV, Kevin Shomaker of Leesburg, Kristi K. Karle of Hume, Kathy E. Craft of Centreville, Kendall L. Shomaker of South Riding, fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Loudoun Funeral Chapels, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE 20175, Leesburg, VA; where the family will receive friends from 12 to 2 PM Friday, June 1, 2007. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm. Interment will be held in Lakeview Cemetery, Hamilton. Donations may be made in Mr. Shomaker's memory to the American Diabetes Association 1211 Connecticut Avenue NW, Ste 204 Washington, DC 20036.
