Donna Jean Caulfield's Obituary
Donna Jean Caulfield, 60 of Leesburg, Virginia was called home to Jesus on Friday, July 16, 2021, in Leesburg, VA.
She was born February 27, 1961 to the late Robert John Clacherty and Rosemary McDonough. Donna attended Saint Therese of Lisieux Little Flower Catholic School in Brooklyn and graduated from Lakeland High School in Shrub Oak, NY in 1979. Donna was blessed with the birth of her son Michael Morel in 1987.
Donna was an accomplished guitarist and vocalist who performed at Graymoor Spiritual Life Center in Garrison, NY and directed the Folk Group at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Shrub Oak, NY for many years. Donna met her late husband William Caulfield while working as a phlebotomist at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Montrose, NY. They later moved to Ashburn, VA.
Donna was a fast and fierce friend to everyone she met and enthusiastically shared her deep faith through Cursillo, Teens Encounter Christ, and Day by Day Agape. A true New Yorker, Donna held strong to her Brooklyn accent and reminisced with friends and classmates on Facebook.
Donna loved her family tremendously and enjoyed being an aunt to Mila, Liam, Sephie, Aidan, Meghan and Brigid. She is survived by her son, Michael, her mother, Rosemary Clacherty in Ashburn, Virginia, and sisters, Michelle Emanuel (Phil) in Ashburn, Virginia, and Mary Craig (SeAn) in St. Augustine, Florida and her beloved dog Bonnie.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at St. John Neumann Catholic Church located at 11900 Lawyers Road Reston, Virginia 20191. Internment will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
