Doris Lee Danner's Obituary
Mrs. Doris Lee Danner of Purcellville, VA, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013.
Doris was born on June 1, 1931 in Bakerton, WV. She was a daughter of the late Earl V. Higgs and the late Elsie E. Harding. Doris had a passion for family gatherings and visits from the grandchildren. She loved her grandkids. She enjoyed fishing and canning vegetables and fruits from her garden. She also loved crocheting and embroidering.
She was the wife of Clifton (Peanut) Danner of 65 years. Besides her husband, Doris is survived by six children, James Clifton Danner of Winchester, VA, Robert William Danner and wife Carol of Lovettsville, Michael Eugene Danner and wife Debbie of Martinsburg, WV, Janet and her husband Gary Seltzer, Sr. of Charles Town, WV, Linda K. Caprio and friend John of Hedgesville, WV, Dixie and her husband Brett Blackford of Kearneysville, WV; a brother: Roger L. Higgs of Pittsburgh, PA; plus 22 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, with 3 more on the way. She is also survived by a dear friend Bobby Ann Kidwell.
Friends may call on Friday evening, January 11, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA.
Funeral services will follow on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11 am at the funeral home, with Rev. Roland England & Rev. Bobbie Ann Kidwell officiating.
Interment will follow in Lovettsville Union Cemetery, Lovettsville, VA.
