Doris Hanna's Obituary
Mrs. Doris Jenks Hanna, 86, died Thursday, March 8, 2007, in Leesburg, VA. Born in Minneapolis, MN, she was the daughter of the late Harris C. Jenks and the late Agnes H. Larson Jenks. Doris lived her life in CA, AR, NC, MD and moving to Leisure World, Leesburg, VA in 2005 to be near her family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Richard T. Hanna, former Congressman of CA. Doris was a vibrant strong woman who touched the hearts of many. She was a wonderful fun mother and will be missed.
She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Hanna of Leesburg, Kimberly (Hanna) Dicus of Memphis, TN, Lydia (Hanna) Thornton of Leesburg; her sister, Joann Fritchman of Winona, MN; two grandchildren, Matthew Thomas Hanna, and Maddelyn Grace Thornton.
A private family memorial service and interment will be held in NC at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doris''s memory to the American Stroke Association, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.
Arrangements are being handled by Loudoun Funeral Chapels, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE 20175, Leesburg, Virginia.
