Dorris Anita Bryant's Obituary
Dorris Anita Bryant passed away on December 20, 2021, in Leesburg, Virginia.
Born May 6, 1926 in Petrolia, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Byrd Reedy and the late Mary Etta (Patterson) Reedy. She was the loving wife of E. Earl Bryant, who passed away in 2001.
Dorris is survived by her children Larry, Edward and wife Patricia, Doug and wife Ansha Tang, and Karen and husband Jim Burton. She was the loving grandmother of Jessica, Christopher, Allison, Jackson, Luke, Riley, Jennifer, and Sean, and great grandchildren Jemma and Liana.
She loved her family, fashion and traveling, in that order. Dorris was a dedicated volunteer at Fairfax County Hospital for 23 years. She was known for her beauty, sense of style and elegance, and for making the best pecan pie and zucchini casserole around. She was kind and tolerant. Reserved by nature, Dorris could surprise you with her love of laughter (think Bennie Hill).
The family would like to acknowledge the amazing care she received from so many compassionate staff at Heritage Hall in Leesburg, Virginia.
A private interment will be held at Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
At the familiy's request, in lieu of flowers please send memorial donations in Dorris's memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) or their favorite charity.
